After a short introduction of myself and Marmot (embedded short video clip 30 sec.) I will talk about the Marmot “What gives you life” campaign and how we try to inspire people about the different outdoor activities, and ask the question for their signature moments in the outdoors. I will further talk about the emotional connection we try to achieve with the trigger of those signature moments. As the key for all brands is their product, I will talk about the importance of the product development and versatility of products and that effect on the “modern” hiker. Examples will show how we as marmot (substitutional for the industry) actively get in touch with people on various events, which also show possibilities of potential cooperation’s with tourism destinations. I will give a short overview about the European outdoor market for putting this in the right perspective. Further on I will demonstrate the various activities we as Marmot as well as the whole outdoor industry undertakes to increase the participation rate in outdoor activities. I will explain the #itsgreatoutthere campaign the EOG started as well as briefly talk about the “Your Winter. Your Sport”, campaign. I will close with a short video (15sec) showing that you can "fall in love with the outside” in any weather and climate.
