Mountains and thermalism – The perfect couple
Andorra is a leading tourist destination in Europe with a capacity to attract 2.6 million tourists a year from proximity, as well as from medium and long distance destinations. Undoubtedly its marvellous mountains in which intelligent investments have been made to adapt them to optimal use for skiing, partially explain the success of our country in tourist terms, but this has not been due only to these investments in sports equipment and the country’s natural resources. Several complements of interest for tourists have made Andorra such a popular destination: shopping tourism, gastronomy, cultural heritage, sports events, shows and a very original view and use of thermalism all contribute to completing our value proposal. Caldea - INÚU, the largest thermal domain in Europe, with 350,000 clients a year, has for more than 20 years been a benchmark for the sector. Its marvellous architecture, its universal offer, its outdoor pools, the water shows and other attributes will be analysed in this presentation, which is intended to explain the Caldea’s successful business story to the audience, and its role as a driving force of national tourism.
